    The Uninvited!

    By kyle | July 7, 2011

Yesterday I was told twice via email by flacks for “Victory Films'” Sarah Palin documentary “The Undefeated” that I was “confirmed” for tomorrow’s “critics’ screening” of the film preparatory to its limited release in mostly red states later this month. Today I am told that I am no longer invited. Of course I will be mercilessly mocking this decision if it is not rescinded. I have told Victory that it is me or nobody from The Post who will be seeing the final cut of the film at what appears to be the only critics’ screening in New York City. Their response: “Understood.”

Cry me a river. How could you have written a review of the documentary if you hadn’t already seen it?

I think you are just trying to raise your profile on someone else’s dime.

Anyone who assign much value to a movie about Palin is suspect in the first place.

But you are only a film critic.

      That makes you important, how?

Jay L: Where did I say I was important? As for assigning much value to the movie– that isn’t the point. It’s my job to review movies and provide my opinion for whoever might be interested. It’s the job of movie publicists to invite me.

Mr. Potato Head — I saw a very unfortunate rough cut of the film in the spring. It still had a “scratch” soundtrack, it still had annoying visuals that needed to be cleaned up (like a giant stamp reading IMAGE BY CORBIS or whatever on every piece of stock footage). It could have been substantially re-edited for all I know. In any case, the version I saw is not exactly what is being released commercially.

Given Palin’s new direction as a reality-celeb queen, in contrast to politician or statesman, I don’t know why this would surprise anyone.

Ironically, I’m sure Palin’s hagiographic tome beats the drum repeatedly about lockstep media and locking the doors to the club house.

“Of course I will be mercilessly mocking this decision if it is not rescinded.”

What a baby throwing a tantrum. Why should they invite a extremely biased critic who obviously hates Sarah Palin? Your already heavily skewed position towards her makes you a rather unreliable movie critic.

I wouldn’t vote for her, but I like Sarah Palin because she LOVES America.

Wait a minute…. aren’t you the little twerp who violated an embargo with some review a while back…. after Victory Films let you see it ahead of just about everyone else? And you violated that embargo because you are so insecure that you just had to get some of the spotlight and beat eveyone else?
Hmmm if you are a slime ball, do you really expect them to reward a liar and untrustworthy person like you?
Besides, haven’t you already seen it?

Waaah Waaah pull up your diaper and act like a child already.

Weern’t you the turd who gave a very biased and partisan review of the movie some time ago for NYPost? Yes, you were. Plus you did not respect Victory Films on the embargo they requested-no reviews till the final cut.
I think it’s their right to leave you out of reviewing the film. Your review will be unworthy anyway since you are such a left liberal hack.

It would appear that Mrs. Palin’s supporters, at least judging by the sampling above, are every bit as poorly-educated and ill-informed as their dim-witted heroine.

I sort of got the impression many of those comments were written by the same nitwit. Kyle are you able to confirm that from the IP? Clearly they aren’t regular readers of Kyle’s otherwise they wouldn’t be calling him a liberal hack.

I haven’t seen any repeated IPs. They seem to be singing from the same hymnal, but they’re different people as far as I know.
