    “Iron Man 2” Frontlash

    By Kyle | May 4, 2010

Now that I’ve seen it, I’m starting the backlash to the “Iron Man 2” backlash right now. “It’s called being a badass,” as Tony Stark’s best bud (now Don Cheadle, thanks very much) puts it. Yes, sir. “Iron Man 2” is my new favorite movie of the year and one of my top five superhero movies ever. It’s far superior to “Iron Man.” As soon as it was over, I wanted to get back in line to see it again. It’s so not “Spider-Man.” From me, this is major praise.

I will say this about Iron Man. I didn’t care for the first, but I did agree with a review in the New Yorker which read:

“To find a comic-book hero who doesn’t agonize over his supergifts, and would defend his constitutional right to get a kick out of them, is frankly a relief.”

It’s nice to see the guy actually have fun with these powers instead of moaning about what a burden it is.

Ha! The backlash to the backlash is on! I also thought it was way better than IM1.

Also, just watched Sherlock Holmes. With a lot of trepidation. I love SH (all screen versions, love especially Jeremy Brett). And I really like Robert Downey Jr. Am VERY skeptical of Guy Ritchie. The bad reveiws definitely scared me. But it was really good/fun. I am now recommending to all friends. I liked being inside his head (Sherlock’s)

But didn’t anyone else notice, in this version Sherlock/Watson = House/Wilson?
