Not My Top Ten List…But Almost

    By Kyle | December 9, 2009

As a teaser to my list of the ten best movies of 2009 — coming in Sunday’s Post! — I’ll give a hint: Here are my numbers 11-25. If your movie isn’t on here, it’s either in the top ten or not in the top 25. I reserve the right to adjust the list as there are a couple of major 2009 releases I haven’t seen, including Avatar, which screens tomorrow night.

    11. Coraline
    12. Crazy Heart
    13. Paranormal Activity
    14. Adventureland
    15. The White Ribbon
    16. Everybody’s Fine
    17. The Taking of Pelham 1 2 3
    18. Broken Embraces
    19. The Hangover
    20. The Cove
    21. Jennifer’s Body
    22. Gigantic
    23. Observe and Report
    24. World’s Greatest Dad
    25. Il Divo

Why did The Cove make your list if you only gave it 2.5/4? Also, why was The Hangover ranked higher on your list than Gigantic, if you gave The Hangover 3/4 and Gigantic 3.5/4?

I gave the Cove 3.5 out of 4. As for the Hangover and Gigantic, I’ve changed my mind a bit.

Did the New York Post website get the star rating wrong - http://www.nypost.com/p/entertainment/movies/item_HsQaGq29iGYzuARnPTf4AJ?

As with everything associated with Neil Gaiman, Coraline was great…

@Nick Boyd, yes, that is an error. I am trying to get it corrected.
