Michael Moore Film Ends with Communist Anthem

    By Kyle | September 8, 2009

Unmentioned in the Variety review of Michael Moore’s “Capitalism: A Love Story” is that it ends with an explicit call for socialism and the Bolshevik anthem “The Internationale” on the soundtrack. So I guess that’s it, then. Moore has finally revealed himself as a proponent of the totalitarian political ideology that killed tens of millions in the twentieth century. Either that or he thinks communism is fit for camp humor. Is Moore funny? Well, he’s on the side of the mass murderers, isn’t he? Says the Hollywood Reporter,

Ending on the notes of the “Internationale” as Moore theatrically encircles New York banks with crime scene tape, the film launches a call for socialism via a popular uprising against the evils of capitalism and free enterprise.

The mast is off, at last.

So … will reporters now label him Moore, the socialist filmmaker, said blah blah blah?

Nah, didn’t think so. But I am enjoying his burst of honesty.

Now, can he tell us where pure socialism hasn’t led to dictators and/or disaster? That’s the case study I’m eager to read.

      Small quibble. According to this:

The toll of Communism is 100 million dead. It wasn’t just Stalin. Mao and Pol Pot really got busy as well.

Capitalism is good - a crook like Michael Moore can sell everything you want.

Moore made his millions under the capitalist, free market system. Does he really think under a socialist/communist system he’ll get to keep his wealth? He’ll be the first to be stood in front of a firing squad, after his money and property have been “liberated” by the “people.”
Whatever Moore is he’s not stupid. That applies to the people who buy his propaganda and made him a wealthy man.

Funny thing is that Moore is a capitalist whether he realizes it or not. He’s made an awfull lot of money in the free market of movie making.

Does this mean he is going to show his movie for free?

What I find ironic is that all Moore’s gripes about capitalism - corporate bailouts, big CEO bonuses, huge layoffs, etc - are all directly the result of government involvement in private industry. That’s socialism. Yet he proposes to remedy this with even more socialism.

      Wow.

I thought Michael Moore was a petulant child before I saw this…

Now I’m slightly scared of him.

I invite Mr. Moore to put his money where his mouth is and share his wealth. Specifically, I invite him to share it with me.

Where is the publicity? Remember the 9/11 film that was touted over and over on the networks right before the 2004 election? We were supposed to take it seriously, just like his Cuban Healthcare film. So…now his communism film will be taken as seriously and touted and touted…? This is so stupid my head is spinning.

      @turd
Moore won’t show his movie for free. The government will just step in and say he’s making too much money then force him to give it to a government program.
This program is supposed to help the poor, however only .30 on the dollar will actually go to the people needing the help. The other .70 will go to government waste and bureaucrats.

The International is not a Bolshevik anthem it was originally used by Marxists and Anarchists (who are against all forms of authoritarianism).

The song was used by the bolshevik from 1922 to 1944 and is a disgrace to the people who were slaughtered under this regime. Socialism-Marxism is against capitalism and seeks to help the impoverished by taking what someone works hard for and giving it to someone who is lazy. Sound familier OBAMA

Nearly all of the US Gov’t is now comprised of Socialists or Communists. Moore appears to be one of their Comrads. Here’s an article detailing the US descent into Communism, starting with Woodrow Wilson.

You people are idiots when it comes to cause and effect in history. No one has ever had a democratic socialist state, not Stalin, not Hitler, and not FDR, although the New Deal was as close as we have ever gotten to putting everyone to work.

    22. CBD Says:
      April 11th, 2010 at 6:03 pm

correction…..the New Deal COULD have put everyone to work, but it was fought too hard by the richest americans, and as always, they won. No one here mentioned FDRs forgotten “Second Bill of Rights.” The right to a damn job for one.

Most people here couldn’t tell you the difference between capitalism and democracy, let alone socialism and communism. They seem to think it’s something that involves taking their AK-47s away, replacing the Stars and Stripes with the Hammer and Sickle and the country being run by Sean Penn, Bill Maher and Michael Moore from a drug-filled, Satan-worshiping bordello in the Hollywood Hills.

I just want to know why it took CBD four months to reply to Brian Landsberger. Did it take that long to hone and craft your retort?

    26. sephone93 Says:

      @ yankeefan:

you are not addressing the point. by directly attacking CBD, you are ignoring the facts which his reply point out, and which are by far more accurate than anything i have seen here. if you are trying to debate, try to argue based on facts if you want to be taken seriously.

Michael Moore’s appearance etc. does not change that everything in his documentary is supposed to shed light on the fact that people still believe the lies that the wealthy feed us so that they can scam us out of our money while we dream of becoming them. Laissez-faire capitalism was a good system, I dont deny that, but every system can become corrupted and to survive as a society we need to adapt and evolve

so go ahead and start verbally attacking me, im sure you all will be extremely witty
