“The Lucky Ones” Selling 12 Tickets Per Screen
By Kyle | September 27, 2008
The Friday night box office figures are in and it appears that the latest Iraq War flop “The Lucky Ones” (seem my review below) is going to be distinguished by an even more gargantuan lack of interest than most films in this stillborn genre: the first estimates are that it sold $118 worth of ticket per screen on its opening day. At $10 a ticket, that’s 12 tickets per screen. Divide that by three screenings a day and, as they say, you do the math. I expect this film to be withdrawn from all theaters within two weeks. Or possibly one. As I frequently say, this is a movie that should not have been made in the first place.

I’ll wait till they put it on YouTube.
Personally, I’m just relieved the endless references to McInsane and Paloon have gone.

Good. This movie is dreadful.

Tick Off a Limey. Vote McCain-Palin 08.

The weather is too poor to go to a movie. People would rather stay home and watch Sarah Palin make a horses ass of herself in the Katie Couric interviews.

That’s 11 more tickets than I had expected.

I think Kyle fell out of love with Pa-loon after hearing her speak.
