    “Wall-E” Review Approaching 300 Comments

    By Kyle | July 16, 2008

You haven’t weighed in yet? Why not? Please, get me up to a nice round number. The review is here. I followed up on it here, here and here. As always, I am humbled by the number of people who, upon reading a lukewarm reaction to a cartoon about cute robots, managed to reach down deep and bring up some deeply crazed fury. Please, sports fans, make your comments a) interesting; b) on-topic; c) original; and d) profanity-free. I do welcome intelligent comments, of which there are also a few.

@ Kyle - You had your arse kicked so much and so frequently and so justly over Wall-E that you still want more? No wonder you loved the masochism of the Joker!

You say arse kicked, I say ankles bitten. I enjoy the cut and thrust of verbal repartee, but I enjoy utterly irrational lunatic sputtering even more.

You’ve got to love the lunacy of much of those posts. They either hate you or pity you for your apparent defect.

The pity posts are much more hilarious.

Having known Wall-E in their hearts and minds and having Wall-E’s love and devotion, their feelings of profound sadness for knowing that you, in your rejection of the great love Wall-E has brought forth may be left behind, well, it’s just sad.

It’s just really, truly, deeply sad.

      Sad.

      robot love, is like disco.

First you love it. Then you realize how obnoxious it is.

I hear alot of people after seeing the movie, feel… uncomfortable for being criticized by Pixar/Disney.

“What’s the deal with some vocal weirdos crying foul about Wall-E’s environmentalism when Pixar did it seven years earlier with Monster’s Inc? ”
