      They obviously thought Granny was going to be prezdint when they made Fisher a general.

      Luke, Han and Leia were all generals in Return of the Jedi. Which always struck me as Lucas having the same sense of what military rank means as a six year old playing with army men in the back yard. Not that I mind, that childlike simplicity is what makes Lucas’ SW more charming than it’s Disney incarnation.
