Will Grand Theft Auto IV Pierce Iron Man’s Armor?

    By Kyle | April 30, 2008

CNN, pointing out that this week’s release of “Grand Theft Auto IV” is expected to gross $400 million, considerably more than “Iron Man,” asks whether a highly addictive new game is going to keep the young male demo at home slavering over the controls instead of going out to see “Iron Man.” I’m thinking that gamers will stay up all night on GTA IV, go see “Iron Man,” then go back to the game. Sleep is for the deceased.

Why does it matter right now. It seems that by bringing this up, its a way of hyping up iron man, in a poor way. When the movie comes out then we should talk about its effects. For me, i’d rather play gta 4 for hours then fork over money for yet another super-hero movie thats unoriginal. If i did go to the movies i’d see harold and kumar. I hope gta 4 does make hollywood suffer for releasing crappy movies lately.

I have GTA but took the time to see IRON MAN tonight which my wife enjoyed just as much as I did. It’s a great audience picture, a real crowd-pleaser.
