It’s refreshing to read a column about Stephen Colbert in which we’re not reminded that he is a serious Catholic who teaches Sunday school . . .

Had occasion to see Stephen King on Colbert. Consisted mostly of a total bitchfest about the awfulness of Donald Trump.By contrast, Jimmy Fallon a few days later had Trump on and had some harmless fun with him. I have no doubt Fallon’s politics are nowhere near Trump, but business is business. Would wager a small fortune Fallon’s ratings were and are significantly better than Colbert those nights and most other nights. But more important watching 2 liberals whine about Trump wasn’t remotely entertaining. But having a few jokes with a guy like Trump who is all about selling himself can be a fun watch.

Stephen King is the worst. Now that he has stopped taking massive amounts of drugs, and consequently finds himself unable to write anything remotely readable, he has lots of free time to think of stupid things to say.

Would be interesting if someone went through and did a methodical comparison of his work when he was high vs. his work when he was sober.

Yeah, it would, if you could get truthful data from him about his state of mind when each book was written. And if he can remember. I once read his book about writing, in which he says something to the effect of that he was sometimes so high when writing that he drew a complete blank on the book after it was published. Couldn’t remember what he had written.

*Should say: He couldn’t remember having written any of it.

Ferguson would have been a fantastic choice to host The Late Show. To reject him and pick Colbert is like being offered filet mignon for dinner and opting for cabbage soup instead.

To be fair to Colbert, he is a very intelligent man, and therefore would find it very difficult to have any kind of reasonable conversation with a GOP frontrunner.

And of course, it takes one to know one… right? (who is a very intelligent man, I mean.)

Yay! Hunter’s back to prove that evil always triumphs over mere decadence.

The usual playground insults from Hunter. What a surprise.
