    By Kyle | March 1, 2013

The big-budget big-screen version of “Jack & the Beanstalk” was mildly entertaining. My review is up.

The three screenwriters are versed in the Tower of Babel story? Maybe Jacob’s ladder …

Nice little updating of the story. It reminded me of both Princess Bride and The Hobbit - probably because of the “gollum” character. No political sucker punches and it kept the kids quiet. About all you can ask in an entertainment movie these days. Hope it does well.

      “Beanpole meets beanstalk” - cute.
